The quarterly scientific journal of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, “OPERA MUSICOLOGICA” was founded in October 2009, to give a comprehensive coverage of research activities by leading domestic and foreign scientists.

The quarterly bulletin “Nauchnyj vestnik Moskovskoj konservatorii” (“Journal of Moscow Conservatory”) is founded in December 2009. It is issued since 2010. The journal publishes scientific papers, documents, teaching aids, corresponding by the subject to the specialties “Musical Art (Musicology)” and «Theory and History of Art». The book reviews are also presented on the pages of the journal.

The journal of SIAS "Iskusstvo muzyki: teoriya i istoriya" (Art of Music. Theory and History) is an electronic peer-reviewed periodical, one of the leading academic editions in the field of musical art, dealing with general problems of musical culture related to its genesis, development and contemporary state, as well as with a large scope of special musicological topics. The journal is published by the State Institute for Art Studies (SIAS) with the consent of the Scientific Council of SIAS of 2011. The financial support is provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The Journal "Uchenye zapiski" ("Scholarly Papers") of Russian Gnesins Academy of Music is devoted to contemporary musicological research including its rather new sections such as psychology and sociology of music and music management. The Journal’s main objectives are dissemination and support of musicological research, its new issues and methods, as well as filing and storage of appropriate information. Unpublished articles corresponding to the scientific area 17.00.02 – Musicology – are accepted for peer review and further publication.
